Find the Right Therapy for You

A quick guide to the different options on offer.

What is CBT?

Great question!

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected.

It focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and habits, and learning new ways to respond to challenges so you can feel better and cope more effectively in everyday life.

We reccomend starting with 12 sessions to reach their goals. These tend to be weekly to give you time to practice new skills in between sessions.

Counseling Session

What is Counselling?

Counselling provides a supportive and confidential space to talk through life’s challenges. It focuses on helping you feel heard, gain insight into your experiences, and work through emotional difficulties at your own pace.

Unlike CBT, which is structured and skills-focused, counselling is often more exploratory and reflective, allowing you to process feelings and experiences without a set agenda.

We reccomend starting with 6 weekly sessions to start with.

What is Couples Therapy?

Couples therapy is a form of talking therapy that helps partners understand their relationship patterns, improve communication, and work through difficulties in a safe, neutral space with a trained therapist.

Sessions focus on exploring how each person experiences the relationship, identifying unhelpful cycles, and developing healthier ways of relating to one another.

The number of sessions varies depending on the couple’s needs and goals, but many couples attend between 6 and 12 sessions, with some choosing shorter, focused work and others continuing for longer if they have more complex or long-standing issues.
